Bradmark Announces Surveillance 4.2 Support for Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise Cluster Edition

HOUSTON, Texas — November 4, 2008 — Bradmark Technologies, Inc., an established provider of enterprise monitoring and database administration tools, today announces the upcoming release of Surveillance™ version 4.2 for Sybase® Adaptive Server® Enterprise (ASE) Cluster Edition. This release bolsters Bradmark’s continuing development of its premier monitoring solution for Sybase data management products, enabling customers – including many that manage the world's most critical data – to cost-effectively maintain unprecedented performance and reliability.

“ The new release of Surveillance for Sybase ASE Cluster Edition further demonstrates Bradmark’s commitment to provide best-in-class monitoring and surveillance solutions across the entire Sybase ASE product family,” said Brian Vink, Vice President, database product marketing, Sybase. “The world's most critical data in commerce, communications, finance and government runs on Sybase and we are pleased that partners such as Bradmark continue to provide complimentary solutions to help ensure an extremely reliable, high performance database environment.”

Surveillance for Sybase ASE Cluster Edition provides comprehensive views for cluster monitoring:

  • Cluster Window enables monitoring of availability and load across cluster nodes, views of up and down instances (alerts on down instances), view of logical cluster topology and review of historical cluster actions.
  • Cluster Interconnect (CIPC) Window shows status of interconnects and performance of message traffic across the links (alerts on down links), and links with large message backlogs
    .
  • Cluster Cache Manager Window shows the performance of cluster caches.
  • Local Tempdb Window shows the load across local tempdbs.

“Version 4.2 demonstrates Bradmark’s commitment to broaden and deepen the support for Sybase Surveillance customers,” said Brad Tashenberg, CEO, Bradmark Technologies, Inc. “With this new functionality, Bradmark also demonstrates its ability to deliver timely and functionally rich value to our Sybase customers.”

Surveillance is a real-time monitoring tool capable of overseeing the entire database environment with drill-down capability for quick problem identification. With Surveillance, a database administrator can view real-time performance data without writing scripts, determine the root cause of performance problems, and insure the well being of the user’s database environment. Difficult problems can be resolved in a fraction of the time required without such a product. Surveillance installs in minutes and, once configured, can begin monitoring right away.
