administration tools, today announces the scheduled availability
of Surveillance DB™ version 4.3, which includes a redesigned
Microsoft SQL Server windows GUI for heterogeneous database monitoring,
support for MS SQL Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 and much more.

The Surveillance suite provides essential tools for real-time

the OS to ensure data integrity. With support for Microsoft,
Oracle, Sybase and IBM database investments that run on UNIX,

- Monitoring of a multi-instance machine through the SQL Server Multi-instance Health Window in the OS module

- Long-running Operations (i.e. DBCC CHECKDB)
Capturing of:
- Longest Running SQL
- Current Executing SQL
- Connectivity using SQL Server Native Client (9 or 10)
- Support for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2008 R2
- Monitor the database using Dynamic Management Views and Functions (DMV), which provide more powerful monitoring metrics
